Introducing yourself on a date need not be hard work. In today's world we have email and text messages so you can get most of the background information exchanged before you meet up in person. This has the added advantage that you can make sure you have something to talk about before you agree to meet up.
When introducing ourselves to our customers we must be on our best behavior. If we offend them or show any signs of disrespect they may take their business elsewhere. When you introduce yourself to customers you need to try and convince them that you can both work together in a productive way and also that you have something of value to offer them. Try and adapt your introduction to focus on skills and experience of relevance to the customer.
